Burn For Me by Ilona Andrews —> Conspiracy of Ravens by J.C. McKenzie

I absolutely love Ilona Andrews’s Hidden Legacy series, a family owned PI firm, hidden magic and so much fun family banter. It’s no surprise that I loved J.C. McKenzie’s Raven Crawford series. Same family themes and hidden magic. Did I also mention both have that mysterious tall, dark and dangerous guy who could just as easily be the enemy as the romantic lead? (swoon)

Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison —> Three Mages and a Margarita by Annette Marie

Kim Harrison’s Rachel Morgan series is probably the first urban fantasy series I fell in love with. For the amazingness that is Rachel Morgan I’m so glad that Harrison decided to continue the series. But because I also need to fill the void between Hollows books, check out Annette Marie’s Guild Codex series. There are two intersecting series, Spellbound & Demonized. Together they give you uniquely powerful heroines, hunting bounties and getting in over their heads with demons.

The Black Witch by Laurie Forest —> A Trial of Sorcerers by Elise Kova

If you love the YA Fantasy, magic school setting, elemental magic and slow burn romance of Black Witch Chronicles, you MUST read Elise Kova’s Trial of Sorcerers. Best news is that it’s on KindleUnlimited. Go on, download it now, I’ll wait.

The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick —> House of Bastiion by K.L. Kolarich

If you loved the rich political world of the Rook & Rose series, you will love K.L. Kolarich’s Haidren Legacy series. A world steeped in uneasy political alliances, court secrets and hidden magic.

Shadowhunters (any of them) by Cassandra Clare —> A Dark and Hollow Star by Ashley Shuttleworth

If you love the urban fantasy action and magic of the Shadowhunter novels, you’ll love Ashley Shuttleworth’s series. A group of fae (and fury) thrown together to pursue a magical murder mystery, the series explores fae politics, magic and lots of amazing ships in a world of casual queer acceptance.
