Review

Myth: 4/5

A collection of Cardan’s stories and thoughts. The short story takes us on a “present” journey of Cardan and Jude into the mortal realm, while also sharing glimpses of stories from his past. Even though we’ve come to understand quite a bit of who Cardan is and a little of why, these stories provide further glimpses into how the youngest son of the King was raised.

Magic: 4/5

The stories, especially the stories with Aslog were my favorite. They are exactly the kind of “fairy” tales that you expect. A little bit of whimsy, a lot of underlying message to the listener and a truth that needs to be heard.

Overall: 4/5

While a short jaunt back into Cardan and Jude’s world it was still a delight. The book is so beautifully illustrated by Rovina Cai. I highly recommend getting your hands on a copy to read, its worth it!
