Review:

Myth: 5/5

Hot Damn! I think that about sums up the review.

Kerri Maniscalco shared ahead of time that Kingdom of the Cursed would kick the Kingdom of the Wicked series up a notch from the YA to New Adult realm, and boy did she mean it. I found myself rereading sentences constantly in love with every word used to describe the Wrath’s sin and sex appeal and the tension sizzling between him and Emilia.

And oh boy, it was not just sexual tension and taunting for the sake of it (not that there is anything wrong with that). It was fundamentally and deliciously tied to the story. I loved the turns that this story took for Emilia and the choices she had to make.

Magic: 4/5

Emilia is a witch, but her journey has taken her to the heart of The Wicked, Hell. So the magic in this book is much more focused on the Princes and Hell itself. It was delightful, just less traditional magic like we saw in book one.

Overall: 5/5

It definitely kept your heart racing until (and beyond) the last page. Emilia still has a lot to figure out, with a lot of reveals in the last few chapters, but she’s finding her footing and deciding in whom to put her trust.
