Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

Alix was a determined heroine. She did the best she could to care for those she cared about. I definitely liked her contrast to prince Theo, her determination helped her pierce his rough shell.

This story certainly captured the light hearted, fairy tale essence. There were a lot of fun twists and plays on the Twelve Dancing Princesses story.

Magic: 4/5

Introducing us into the fairy tale retelling world, there are mages, curses and monsters. The world felt like a traditional fairy tale kingdom, and I really like the idea that it will be used to tell multiple reverse retelling stories.

Overall: 3.5/5

A lovely fairy tale style standalone story while also introducing us to a larger fairy tale world incorporating multiple retellings. You can already see the larger story coming into focus even as Alix and Theo’s story gets a happily ever after.
