Review:

Myth: 4/5

Wicks Hollow just seems like my kind of place. A small town on the westside of Michigan, lots of summer tourists for the lake and ghostly hauntings in just about every old building in the town.

Vivien is determined to get her new theater launched and stay away from her ex Jake, who happened to end up in the town she grew up in. Let’s just say she’s only successful at one of these things. Vivien and Jake’s chemistry was wonderful, and their story was filled with misunderstanding but not drama. They get a second chance to figure out a college breakup 10 years later.

Though each story in Wicks Hollow focuses on a different romance, the spry and mischievous Tuesday Ladies are always a fun addition to the stories, helping move things forward in their own direct way.

Magic: 4.5/5

If you’re not sure if “paranormal romance” is for you, I recommend giving these a try. They are very much based in the real world with a lot of focus on small town activities. The primary magic in each story is ghost activity, hauntings in old buildings in the area. The main characters are generally trying to solve their hauntings so that they can get on with their life and business plans.

Overall: 4/5

I really enjoy these stories. I’m a Michigan girl and always get caught up in the Michigan lake town atmosphere, colorful locals, sizzling chemistry between characters and of course, a ghost mystery to solve.
