Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

Thrown into a hence unknown magical world, Robin Blyth is really taking it all in stride. Working as a government liaison to the magical council, he finds himself directly in Edwin’s path and in a whole mess of unknown trouble from his predecessor. The pacing and world building in this book were spot on, though the characters themselves took a little bit for me to warm up to (they had a cool indifference as opposed to an antagonist acquaintance chemistry), they had me at hedge maze.

Magic: 4/5

Book one sets up a rich history of magic in England and around the globe. It definitely starts the guys off on a journey that I think will end up being a trilogy.

Overall: 3.5/5

Magic, manners and mystery follow Robin and Edwin’s every step as they try to figure out the intrigue that brought Robin to his new position.
