Review:

Myth: 4/5

Andy starts book two up to her eyeballs in problems. A desperate desire to learn about what she is puts her in a terrible situation, driving deep rifts in the relationships she’d work so hard to build.

No problem for me, as it leaves plenty of room for Tristian to slide into the picture. Andy works to find out what she is, tries to keep a handle on her SRD job, even with a major conflict of interest and has to bend to her new business arrangements. There is no shortage of problems for Andy to work through.

Magic: 4/5

I love the magical and mystery build up around Carus. While the whole picture isn’t painted, lots of new information is dropped and lots of new potentials open up for Andy to explore. This is definitely setup for a good magical build throughout the series, while each book also has smaller supernatural mysteries to solve.

Overall: 4/5

I’m team Andy, and here to see why Andy, and how she’ll become even more badass over the course of the books. Oh, and of course, how and who she’ll pick in her love-triangle.
