Review:

Myth: 2/5

I couldn’t really get into this book, I think I narrowed it down to too many POV’s (6) in a standalone story. I have a hard time with that many POVs in epic fantasy trilogies even, so it was a little too overwhelming in this. With so many perspectives I was unable to get into any of the characters enough to care about what was happening to them.

Magic: 3/5

I thought the magic, especially the simple pricking of the finger to kick off magic was unique and a fun call to the witches of Macbeth. I didn’t get into the overall magic system, it seemed like it had rules (that you learned at school) but it didn’t seem like much of that was presented on page.

Overall: 2/5

A town plagued by a curse and a group determined to end it, though this book wasn’t for me, if you like lots of POVs and a spooky Halloween type vibe, this one might be for you.
