Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

While focused on a new couple (like the more traditional romance genre) Faith and Vaughn are also on opposite sides of the Psy-Changeling line. The world building between that of Psy and Changeling is so well done. Taking the reader from a cold sterility of a highly prized Psy to the sensual forest home of a member of the Pack. It certainly lends itself to the romance of the story that the Pack and changelings are so focused on physical touch and the Psy are trained against it.

Magic: 3/5

Faith is a new type Psy, an F-Psy with future predictive powers. While trained to focus these powers for her people’s business financial gains, she starts to see darker, dangerous predictions. This becomes another character unpacking all the ways that the Psy Council has trained away the “unnecessary” or “messy” attributes of Psy and Faith has to decide if she’s willing to break with everything she’s known.

Overall: 3.5/5

Another installment in the sensual world of the Changelings, I really think that the contrast with the Psy brings forth the beauty described in the natural habitats of the Changelings. Faith and Vaughn have an undeniable connection forcing them to make dangerous decisions to get the only outcome they’ll accept.
