Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4/5

A satisfying conclusion to this amped up trilogy. By the point, it seems fair to say that the characters have travelled all over the Empire of Iwagoto without ever reaching their destination. I, like them, am a little exhausted from the journey, and relieved when they reach their final destination.  We find a land and a home Yumeko did not expect, and the stakes are amped even higher as she sees a hidden land of co-existing peoples she knows she must protect.

Magic: 4/5

The conclusion is action packed and reveals new information about Yumeko’s past. There is a significant amount of downtown while we wait and prepare for the final confrontation, but once there Yumeko is forced to confront new, impossible enemies and dig deep into the skills of her fox magic… but can she beat the ultimate master?

Overall: 4/5

It’s a bittersweet end to a long journey. Yet I know if Kagawa decided to continue the series or write a spin-off, I would immediately jump back into this world.
