Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4/5

Eva is young, a bit impetuous and sees the world largely in black and white. It’s a great perspective to introduce us to the vice enabling vampires of New Orleans. In this first book she’s caught between the vampire prince Adrian and her new found network of vampire hunters, notably her long time crush Felix.

A dangerous game of trying to help free her mom from her vices at any cost or being honest with her team of vampire hunter friends. It’s definitely fast paced and high stakes all around.

Magic: 4/5

Walker brought a unique twist to the vampire world building. In her world, vampires run just about every human vice, and charge for it in blood donations. An interesting power dynamic that let’s vampires live openly in society while still getting the human blood they require.

There are still plenty of secrets in the world to explore after book one, especially about what other supernaturals might be in the world that haven’t come out like the vampires.

Overall: 4/5

Blood Casino was fast paced and action packed. A few fun new twists on the vampire/hunter story, wrapped up with high stakes and family loyalties.
