Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

The synopsis for this book sort of lays everything out there for us, but somehow the story still took my breath away on multiple occasions. It was engaging, laugh out loud funny and I felt compelled to know what happened next. Church vs witches was a fantastic overall hook, and the hypocrisy ran so deep on all sides that it was delicious to watch unravel.

I admit that with Reid’s first chapter, I was muttered under by breath, “not him” but I stand corrected. Yes him, he was the perfect compliment to Lou and really the only one that would be right for this journey with her.

Magic: 4/5

I love magic with balance, when it’s all about the interpretation of the contract that you’re making with the magic, ignore the details, focus on the intent. It’s delightful wordplay and this book nailed it.

Overall: 4.5/5

I fell in love with Lou immediately and her character only drew me in further through the book. Add the delicate dance with her new husband, Reid and the Church vs witches and this book was unputdownable.
