Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

The conclusion of Serpent and Dove continued with the slow build up to the final showdown. Lou and Reid each had their own darkness to face individually before they could save the kingdom together.

“For too long, our lives had been tangled yet separate, intrinsically linked yet forever apart. It as my fault. It was his too.”

This quote sums up a lot of my feelings on the book. In the conclusion I really hoped to see Lou and Reid fighting together for their future, but at turn after turn they had their own battles to face. We never really got to experience them putting together a plan to save the world together.

Magic: 3/5

I know the natural progression after finding allies in Blood and Honey was to encounter more Gods, but it seemed like a slightly unnecessary step to me. I was much more interested in Lou and Coco’s continued magic progression and further unraveling backstories.

Overall: 3.5/5

A satisfying conclusion to the Serpent and Dove trilogy. While we don’t get to see a lot of Lou and Reid getting to enjoy their unique connection, they do fight to find their way back to each other. They, along with their found family are ready to fight for the future that they want.
