Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3/5

Orlana was a princess, trained in the art of war and fire, Darius and his family were her targets for vengeance. This is an enemies to lovers romance with some forced proximity as Orlana and Darius have to work together to sabotage Darius’ father’s army.

Darius was more the type of character that I enjoy, if Marcellus from book one was like Thor, then Darius is like Loki. Though Orlana was more trained in battle than the heroine from the first book, she was still very unseasoned, this was her first journey out of the caves in which she was raised, so there was definitely a lot of gathering new perspectives on the world and those she considers her enemies.

Magic: 3/5

Orlana and the arden fae brought a new power dimension to the world. A practice that Orlana had been training in her whole life. We got to experience certain parts of it through her attacks on the army and in her relationship with Darius, but I didn’t get a good sense for that part of the world overall.

Overall: 3/5

Another romantic journey through the Winged Mates fantasy world. Orlana and the arden fae introduce a warrior people with elemental fire magic, ready to join the battle against Darius and Marcellus’s father.
