Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

Elise Kova is a fantastic storyteller! I can’t get enough of her world building, character growth and plot pacing. A Hunt of Shadows continues Eira’s journey after the devastating events at the end of A Trial of Sorcerers, she has a lot of grief, pain and guilt weighing her down. Her emotional and mental journey in book two spans so much it’s hard to put into words, but it’s incredibly well done as Eira’s character balances her impulsiveness with a growing determination to do things differently.

There is a strong romantic thread in book two, it was a little over the top YA in it’s high highs and low lows, but that’s what we’re here for, right?

Magic: 4.5/5

The growth of Eira’s character also leads her to new heights with her magic. Due to events in her past, she’s had a tenuous relationship with her magic, and while she may never fully shake that, we really do get to see her step into the depths of her power.

Overall: 4.5/5

I can’t get enough Eira! She is a delight to read and so easy to root for. She’s got way too much to deal with but none of it will get in between her and something she sets her mind to. I can’t wait for more of her story.
