Book three delivers the romance we’ve been waiting for, but as we’re only at 3/5 books, I can’t get my hopes up too high that it won’t crush me yet.
Rushing to the front under less than ideal circumstances, Vhalla continues to fight for her prince and her freedom. A complex set of political maneuvers could help or hurt her future, but she’s definitely going to try with all her might.

We get to see Vhalla in her element. She’s grown into her power, she knows its compliment, and she knows how to wield it as a weapon.
Overall: 5/5
Vhalla knows she’s changed, but she can still hold on to what matters most to her. Vhalla gets a lot of growth in this book, knowing what she will and won’t accept and what risks she’s willing to take. She finds her lines and she’s ready to fight or flee to sustain them.
