Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

Book Two in the Air Awakes sends Vhalla to war. An unprepared soldier, a march to the north and so much trouble in between. This book will probably end up being my least favorite of the series (though still a wonderful page turner) as it plays heavily on the ya insecurities in the romance story. But as with any epic fantasy, we need to see the character experience their insecurities so that we can appreciate how far they come through the story.

Magic: 5/5

Windwalker, bonded, what more could we ask for? Don’t worry, we get magical builds whether we knew we wanted it or not! And trust me, we wanted it.

Overall: 4.5/5

While filled with ya romantic angst, it’s still easy to appreciate the situations in which Vhalla finds herself. She didn’t ask for any of this, as any epic fantasy heroine would say, but she’s in the thick of a war for an empire none the less.
