Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

It was wonderful and heartbreaking to see Vhalla strike out on her own. She knows she’s changed. She knows she’s powerful and she knows the life that she wants to fight for. To truly live in peace, she has to confront the shadows that have been haunting her steps since her awakening. Intertwining the current politics with the historical political landscape and past wars, the story weaves together a larger threat thats been lurking in all the previous books.

Magic: 5/5

Since we’ve seen Vhalla’s power grow very substantially in each book, it’s hard to picture that trend continuing. Book four brings forth new magical threats and new challenges for Vhalla’s magic that she has yet to face.

Overall: 4.5/5

After the heartbreaking end to book three, book four puts the hero of the north on much more even footing with her former lover. Elise Kova has been excellent in this series about building us up, just to rip our hearts out and stomp on them (in the best and worst ways), this book is no different. Enjoy!
