Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

I loved it, the second book lets Auren start to challenge her known beliefs. As a hostage in Fourth’s army, with the enemy and the fierce commander, she’s given a chance to literally and figuratively come out of her cage. It’s definitely a challenge, and she takes as many steps backwards as forwards, but we see that glint in her eye by the end, like she might realize all is not as she thought it to be.

Magic: 5/5

Book two is the first introduction to the fae in Orea, While we understood magical bloodlines as the rulers of the kingdoms, none are pure fae. This book gives us a better history of that and starts to build the larger fae/Orea story.

Overall: 4.5/5

Intrigue, characters taking as many steps forward as they are backward, and a knockout punch for the ending, give me more of The Plated Prisoner!
