This book did so well pushing Auren beyond a pawn. It was everything I wanted and it was so satisfying to read and experience. Finding herself caught in the webs of two powerful men, Auren decides to fight for herself.

Auren’s magic is :chef’s kiss: . I can’t explain the heights and depths of the magic emotional roller coaster in this book, but I’m here to tell you that it is one heck of a ride and you will enjoy every second of it.

From Stockholm Syndrome to a spark of awareness, we’ve seen Auren at some of her lowest lows. In Gleam she gets a chance to stand up for herself, to decide what she wants, not to let the powerful men around her push her toward what they want. It’s one of those books with scenes where you just want to stand on the sideline and cheer her on as Auren and her magic take center stage.
