Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a romance book billed with so many traditional romance tropes but such a unique male lead. I have to say that Katee Robert was creative in the romance. Briar was certainly running from a tragic past, yet she was firmly focused on how to reclaim her life. Briar and Sol give each other the care and space they need to be themselves, even as they’re finding out who that is.

Magic: 4/5

This was book one in Deal with a Demon and as such it set you up for so much more fun. I can’t wait for the subsequent stories in the world, and their are teasers in this book for just about all of them!

Overall: 4.5/5

Just a delight of a read. This book was so fun from start to end, playing with traditional damsel in distress tropes but firmly giving the power and the decision to play to Briar Rose. While i’ve read reviews saying “Katee Robert at her most bonkers yet” and can definitely agree, she never fails to ensure the safety and heart of her characters.
