Review:

Myth: 5/5

An Ethiopian inspired, fantasy reimagining of Jane Eyre. I loved this story. A young woman finds herself employed by a mysterious, rich man with a dark curse. I loved the fantasy elements added to the YA monster romance. Andromeda is a debtera, essentially an exorcist, hired to cleanse this cursed, gothic castle. Of course we’re also talking about a handsome and charmingly offbeat boy that needs to be saved. Andromeda was an amazing heroine, so fierce even when she’s terrified.

Magic: 5/5

A curse that needs to be cleansed, a gothic castle fit for a horror novel. The magic and gothic monster vibes are all there. Everything you need with the added bonus of kissing.

Overall: 5/5

I knew I’d love Andromeda from the first chapter. She was smart, fierce and so level headed. Her story is perfect, as she deals with her inconvenient feelings for her employer and her fallout with her mentor leaving her future in jeopardy. Andromeda is a survivor and she certainly won’t go down without a fight.
