Myth: 3/5
I couldn’t really get into the characters, this installment focuses on finding and the childhood of a prophesied Queen, Witch. She is quite young, a child in this story, but due to who she will be and the court she will claim she has powerful demons planning on her future. There was a lot of sexual violence in the story, against both men and women.
Magic: 4/5
Lucifer was the most fun character in this story. The story bounces between different worlds, predominantly in two, hell and the kingdom in which the Witch child currently resides. The magic is powerful and the world is expansive, but the story just wasn’t my favorite.
Overall: 3.5/5
I checked this out because Katee Robert and Sarah J. Maas rate it highly. You can definitely see where Sarah J. Maas draws inspiration from this world.
