I just love the tension built in this book around in no specific order 1. Lark and Kang’s relationship, 2. Kang’s mysterious glamy status, 3. everyone’s evil plans. There is a lot building in Lark’s world and not all of it is enjoyable.
Magic: 5/5
We get a lot more bits and pieces about the veil and the Lord of it. We also get a little more spillage about why Lark packs such a punch, especially in the veil. No answers yet, but a lot more build in the world.
Overall: 5/5
I devoured this one, I couldn’t help but shriek with joy when it landed in my inbox. I can’t wait to see what happens next in Lark’s story.
