A welcome return for Vanja and Emeric. I adored the blend of turning a new leaf, resorting to old ways, and of course, those ever-pesky romantic feelings.
Magic: 5/5
I wasn’t sure where this was going to go after a strong start, with Vanja accidentally starting a cult. However, I need not have feared. There is a heavy dose of low gods and spirits mischief. There is also a heavy dose of Robin Hood-esque Vanja thievery justice.
Overall: 5/5
Painted Devils was fun from start to finish, with lots of twists and lots of heart.
