Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

Six unique short stories each in different parts of the same world on the edge of the dark and magical wildwood. Each independent fantasy romance stories, but the interweaving of the legends and magic of the wildwood created a world building of its own.

I really enjoyed each story featuring different fantasy romance tropes. There were a few dashes of fairy tale retellings, a little Beauty and the Beast, a little Cinderella, but each with unique spins on the tale. I think that Heart of the Raven or Bride of the King were my absolute favorites, but all were lovely in their own way.

Magic: 4.5/5

The magic was unique in each story. I thought that it was a nice added thread that the Queen of the Wildwood’s magic was present in every story, this was a unifying feature throughout the separate stories. It wasn’t overbearing, just a nice detail that weaves the stories into the same world.

Overall: 4.5/5

These were really so enjoyable to read. Short stories with heroines dipping their toes into the magic of the wildwood and trying to find their happy ending. It was a beautiful fairy tale world with this darkness around the edges, but each heroine uniquely dealt with the dangers of the wildwood.
