Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

The gothic haunting, but naturally atmospheric Dawn Inn is the perfect setting for this fantasy romance. Angela J. Ford’s epic fantasy roots find their way into her fantasy romance. I see this mostly in the pace, a slow build and in the inevitability of the conclusion. Neither of which are surprises in a romance, it just feels like epic fantasy.

Mila isn’t my usual favorite heroine, she has an unassuming nature and quiet strength. Once willing to take a chance on love, she is determined to hold on to it.

Magic: 3/5

A wonderful October read with a gothic inn and things that go bump in the night. This is offset by breathtaking nature and a blurring in natural lines between worlds. Expect some portal magic, old gods and forgotten power.

Overall: 3/5

A sweet, but still steamy, fantasy romance with roots in epic fantasy and a heroine willing to risk her heart and follow her passions.
