Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

Heir to the Eyrie is a standalone novel, but it follows the story of Lexi, the daughter or Cora and Prince Ronin from Cormorant Run. So we’re still in the same, post-apocalyptic world with human/bird hybrids. Lexi is off on her own adventure on the human continent. She’s traveling with a charming human prince and her tall, dark and stormy captain of the guard who has broken her heart.

McKenzie is a master storyteller, her plotting and pacing are spot on, keeping you hooked from the first page. Her characters are rich and my heart was broken multiple times throughout the story. Expect lots of twists and turns but she never deprives us of our HEA.

Magic: 4/5

In the post-apocalyptic world, the magic is really that these hybrid creature exist. Human/bird hybrids, as well as bloodthirsty unicorns, feral bear cats and more.

Overall: 4.5/5

A wonderful standalone, Lexi’s story is perfectly paced, an exciting adventure from start to finish. It keeps you on the edge of your seat while also tugging on your heartstrings. Buckle up!
