Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3/5

A beautiful world of faery filled with magic, malice and mystery. Lia is driven by a need to save her sister, to redeem herself in her own eyes. Her romance with Riven was a little awkward to me. I think some of it had to do with the fact that they started to get to know each other off-page, so we missed some of their relationship development. But when they finally met in person, a mixture of Lia’s indecision and Riven’s persistence gave me pause.

Lia does make her own decisions eventually, and things become much less blurry, but by then the twists and turns of the story have taken place and your in for an emotional roller coaster.

Magic: 3.5/5

I thought this was a great, unique take on faery. The mix of humans and fae magic and the way the information unfurled made for a compelling read.

Overall: 3/5

While single minded in her focus to find and care for her sister, Lia is still figuring a lot of other things out, and Riven, the morally grey, fae king isn’t a lot of help.
