Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 5/5

Everything about this story was a fantastical ride. One of the title blurbs says “Readers should rejoice, because we finally have a Lady Jack Sparrow” which couldn’t be more true. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of pirates in the story that do all the dastardly deeds that you can think of, steal, murder, implied rape in some cases, but our heroine has her own unwritten code that she lives by and her own agenda in every situation.

She is so easy to love, root for and cackle at the situations in which she places herself. And then, of course, with the romantic subplot, the situations in which she thinks she has control over her emotions, and that remains to be determined.

Magic: 5/5

Perfect pacing in magical reveals from Alosa’s true intent, hidden talents and more.

Overall: 5/5

Alosa is more than a match for any favorite pirate. She’s clever and ruthless and she’s taking her captors and the reader on one delightful adventure.
