This was a fun comedy of errors. A little forced proximity, a bit of miscommunication and lots of heart. I enjoyed Mariel’s character arc, self-empowering, boundary setting, and a shouldn’t work but it does love story.
Magic: 3.5/5
Family dynamics are definitely at play in witch bloodlines and expectations. There were also lots of nature magic vibes which are always fun. And of course, the star of this particular show, demon bargainer magic and how it interacts with the mortal world.
Overall: 3.5/5
It was a fun read, a little bit grumpy/sunshine but mostly characters just trying to make the best of the perspectives from which they were raised, opening up to each other and seeing some other points of view. Definitely a cozy and heartwarming story.
