The conclusion of the Gargoyle Queen series wraps up Gemma’s story nicely. Still trying to ferret out the bad guy, Gemma is on pins and needles in anticipation. Gemma was caught between seeking revenge and ‘the best defense is a good offense” for the first half of the book.
Magic: 4/5
Gemma’s magic is still building. The time magier was still not fully fleshed out. But I love a good prophecy tieing it all together, and we definitely got that.
Overall: 3.5/5
It wouldn’t be an epic finale without a gladiator tournament. The backdrop of the competition and courtly guests really kicks the tension up a notch. Gemma and Leo will have to face family drama, courtly intrigue, and of course, protect the kingdom from growing threats!
