Review:

Myth 5/5

Ava is a common fae living amongst the humans. When she takes the Seelie King up on his offer of 50 million dollars to participate in the  competition to be his queen, she doesn’t expect others will literally kill for the position.

This is a new world of the fae for C.N. Crawford, although written very similarly to her other series. It took me a while to learn that there are new rules for dealing with the fae and Faerie here.

But Ava and Torin are both delightful narrators and I enjoyed reading their story unfold.

Magic 5/5

The land of Faerie is frozen. The kings magic is ice - oh and if he falls in love, that person turns to ice too.

Meanwhile, Ava, much like myself, is learning and navigating all this new magic stuff as she competes in a bloody competition. Full of twists and turns, it was highly entertaining.
