Ava and Torin have portalled to the Court of Shadows, where it turns out that Ava is actually an Unseelie - horns and all. We watch Torin (very quickly) decide to overcome his lifelong hatred of the “demons” because he does, in fact, love Ava. And Ava, in her no-nonsense way, quickly realizes where she really belongs in this Court. Will they escape the Court of Shadows alive? Together? In love? Will there be anything left to escape back to? (Yes, of course. And it’s definitely worth the read.)

At last, we get to see Ava’s turn with some powerhouse magic! Although it takes her a while to wake up, once she does it is Ava’s magic everywhere to the rescue! Oh, and Torin is there helping too… but 5/5 because I love a good heroine story.
