Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3.5/5

A tale of Dracula’s brides, the prose was beautiful, the story quite tragic yet empowering. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I started this book. The lyrical writing with the, often abusive Dracula, was rightfully jarring.

Magic: 3/5

A fairly traditional Dracula and his brides magical setting. Medieval Europe and onward, with the characters moving from city to city and through time. This story wasn’t so much about reimagining the vampire myth, that was what you’d expect. The reimagining was in the character work, which I did enjoy.

Overall: 3.5/5

A moody reimagining, with lush vampiric imagery. A controlling Dracula, a growing set of brides. Desire running its course as Constanta must decide where her breaking point is.
