A Soul of Ash and Blood (Blood and Ash #5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Review:
Myth: 5/5
I was a little hesitant about this — you want me to read a retelling of book one before the story is even completed?! But as per usual, I just needed to trust that JLA knew what she was doing. Yes, this was heavily a retelling of Blood and Ash from Cas’s point of view, but there is a reason for it in the present. The current storyline is sprinkled throughout the retelling, giving you glimpses into the next stage of the story.
Magic: 5/5
All the magic we’ve come to love in the Blood and Ash series, with more of a dose of what we’ve seen in the Flesh and Fire series as well.
Overall: 5/5
I can’t wait for what comes next. This installment was a refreshing drop into Cas’s perspective. It also sets everything up for what should be a brilliant conclusion. I also really can’t wait now to read the third flesh and fire book to see how it may intersect with parts of this.
