Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 5/5

Once again, I waited too long to read this internet darling (to be fair, I was waiting for it from my book subscription box, which still hasn’t arrived, and I gave up and got it from the library). It was everything the internet said it would be and more. The characters were so compelling. The story was so well-timed, and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next.

Magic: 5/5

Dragon riders in a military academy — this means brutal competition and war games to prove you’re worthy, along with ongoing terror that someone will kill you just for a chance at your dragon. The dragons don’t just speak into their rider’s minds. They also channel magic through their riders. I loved the way that this story and the lore was built.

Overall: 5/5

Give me more? I think that about sums it up. Fourth Wing was masterful at entangling the general’s reluctant military daughter and the traitor’s son. The magic and chemistry between their dragons and themselves was perfect. I can’t wait to see where this story goes next.
