Myth:
This gave me a lot of Blood and Ash vibes. A maiden selected as the chosen offering, she’s promised one prince but is deeply attracted to another. What more do you need?
Magic:
Think fae, blood magic, and lots of court politics.
Overall:
A steamy romance for fans of JLA, the world-building in the first book is a little light, but it’s more about our heroine’s experience as she’s sent off for her sacrifice. I can certainly see how this will expand and dive deep over the rest of the series.
