Review:

A great follow up to the first Black Witch book with an amped up love triangle.

Myth 4/5

As Elloren starts to form her own views and opinions on the way Gardenerians and their religion treat others in Verpacia she also starts to grapple with what actions she can take to correct these injustices. She and her friends start to take small stands but as the Gardenerian military starts to make moves they have to decide what side they’re on.

And of course this decision includes a traditional love triangle as Elloren is drawn to Yvon (who Gardenerians say she can’t be with) and Lukas isn’t too shabby (even though he’s a Gardenerian military leader).

Magic 3/5

This book seemed to be more about the magical strength of Elloren’s friends, not so much Elloren herself. That’s ok, we have five books in the series so I think we’ll see more of Elloren’s power in upcoming books.

Overall 3.5/5

Another compelling installment in what I hope will shape up to be a great series.
