Review:

Myth 4/5

The third book did not disappoint. I almost don’t know how to review without spoilers, but let's say things heat up quickly. At the end of book two Elloren and her friends scattered as they all firmly joined the resistance in their own ways.

Elloren’s power makes her the Black Witch of prophecy. This makes her terrifying to her supposed allies and a potential weapon for her enemies to control and wield. On the run and seeking protection from the person she’s sworn to never forgive, her fastmate Lukas.

Magic 5/5

The magic in this book is everything. Not only has Elloren’s magic finally started to show itself but we also get a training montage. I loved the training sequence because it focused both on physical skills and mental skills. Elloren needed to learn that she is strong and that she can survive on her own.

Overall 4.5/5

I was completely hooked with the not-quite love triangle. I can’t say it was unpredictable, but I was definitely left wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book. Forest seems to like leaving us on cliffhangers.
