Review:

Myth: 3/5

The big day is finally here for Bay and Landon, so of course there are tons of witchy problems. I enjoyed a lot of the tried and true snark shot around by the Winchester family, and the schmaltz poured out between Landon and Bay as you might expect leading up to their wedding. What I didn’t appreciate as much in this installment was that a lot of the characters that helped with this witchy problem came from Amanda M. Lee’s other series’. Bay was joined by both the Scout and Gunner of her Spells Angels series, Stormy and Hunter of the Two Broomsticks Gas & Grill series and the next book seems like it will bring in characters from the Moonstone Bay series. I’m all for crossovers and hyping up your own work, but this was a a bit too much for me. And it took away from the family dynamics that I love with the Winchesters. Instead of using their mom’s they brought in these other powers to help solve the problems.

Magic: 3.5/5

Bay is the power in Hemlock Cove and that seems to be under challenge in the days leading up to her wedding. What a great time to test her strength and determination. The magic unleashed is nothing really new but still cool. The new magical powers seen come more from working with the Spell’s Angels and Stormy.

Overall: 3/5

It was definitely cozy to finally get to Bay and Landon’s big day. It certainly matched all witchy and smaltzy expectations.
