I don’t know what the official sub-genre for this book is, but if you take cozy mystery and mixed it with paranormal romance you’d get this little gem. It was such a sweet, easy read. The characters were easy to enjoy, the banter playful. Much of the paranormal romance I read has darker, grittier threads, but the Undead Ever After series definitely pulls from more cozy vibes. I should say cozy vibes but without the murder mystery, thought it’s got a supernatural mystery of its own.
The world includes vampires, witches and humans with a built in history regarding their coming out and politics. Some of the world building at the beginning seemed a little heavy on the info dump, but it was still a breeze to read.

Willa is a magic-less witch, living in a vampire town and that gives you great insight into her character. She is brave and loyal to those she loves. She’s not sure of her place in the world, but she wants to find a corner to call her own and be content. Leave it to magical mischief to send her careening in a slightly different direction!

A cast of characters that are easy to enjoy and a world filled with the supernatural. This book carries all the comfort of a cozy read with a fire romance story line. Expect found family and happily ever afters.
