Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 5/5

This has been my favorite installment so far. I can’t help but think that Detective Donovon being out of the picture had a lot to do with it, but I also happened to love the complications with the new detective on the scene.

Gin is getting ready to take a leap in this book. She has the confirmation she needed, she has the information on her family and she’s ready to start methodically taking apart her new target.

Owen Grayson takes center stage as Gin's potential love interest in this book and he is exactly the kind of match for Gin that I’ve been waiting for. They have electric chemistry as Gin tries to figure out his motives.

Magic: 4/5

The evolution is subtle in this installment, I think that the magic here is more linked with Gin’s family history and what she’s able to learn about why Mab Monroe came after her family. But expect more of the elemental powers we’ve grown to love in this latest adventure.

Overall: 4.5/5

I feel like this was everything I’ve been waiting for in the Elemental Assassin series. Gin is getting ready to get out of the pro bono business and get into the official revenge business. We get major insights into her family history and with Detective Donovon out of the way we finally get the romantic match we’ve been waiting for.
