Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 3/5

Mika’s story jumped right into the action and though Mika suffered some life sucker punches in the first chapter, she was determined to do what was needed to get her mom back. The pacing slows down a little bit for an extended period of time in a demon haunt. Though this was some of the initial relationship development with the male lead and a a major challenge for Mika to overcome, it fell a little flat for me. It may have been in part because it took me a bit to really warm up to the romance.

Magic: 3/5

While some character’s magic is well explained, others are not. I think that this is pretty intentional when it comes to Mika since we’re discovering her potential along with her, but it sort of left the potential of what could be done a little too open ended.

Overall: 3/5

This urban fantasy plays on traditional enemy lines between angels and demons and takes our heroine on an action packed adventure diving into celestial power struggles.
