Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4.5/5

Raven is pretty established as the Queen of Corvids, as this book jumps six years for Raven (but that happened in Juni’s story, it has a little backstory for where we find ourselves at the beginning of this book, so check it out if you haven’t yet). It’s sort of a typical kickoff for the Crawfords in that family is in trouble and everyone is ready to help, but also they have a PI business to run and a case to close.

Raven and Cole’s bond and relationship is a strong and delightful partnership. The work as a team not holding each other back.

I continue to love the wit and banter in these books. The relationship interaction and chatter is fast paced and on point.

Magic: 5/5

I really enjoyed this because so far into a series, it’s sometimes hard to continue to build on a magic system. Through Juni’s story, McKenzie has brought us more up to speed on the light fae, and that magic story intertwines seamlessly in this new installment.

Overall: 4.5/5

I cannot express how much I love the family dynamics. The banter between characters is a true delight of this series. In Dark Legacy we get to see Raven flex her fae muscles but also stick to her PI roots and personal morals.
