The Rituals & Runes Collection includes a short story by J.C. McKenzie. This is a review of that short story and not the entire collection of stories.
I love the Raven Crawford series, and I’ve certainly enjoyed her sister, Juni’s short stories. They are a great additional perspective in the world and Juni has her own set of supernatural and romantic problems to deal with. Add in a dash of drama with the Lord of War, the bane of her sister’s existence, and you’ve got another delightful installment in the Crawford series.

Though sisters, Raven and Juni’s magic is quite different. In the last short, Juni embraced her specific magical heritage and we get to start to see the ramifications of that choice in this story.
