Review:

Myth: 4/5

This book combines pretty much my favorite things, snarky, independent, PI protagonist, powerful family ties and, of course, a sinfully delicious dark lord of the underworld. Raven’s adventure to track down her brother introduces us to the fae underworld, a world that Raven has run from, a world that she has heard nothing but the worst about since she was a kid. She was taught to hide her connection to the world, but to save her brother, she’ll embrace her fae side (insert glee).

Our fae lord’s motives are mysterious, possibly questionable, but we’re certainly rooting for him.

Magic: 4.5/5

It was so enjoyable to be thrown into a world of dark fae, regular humans and shifters. It’s one of those stories where you know Raven is hiding things about her nature, but you also have to figure out how much she doesn’t even know about yet. It sets us up perfectly for more of her story where we will hopefully see her embrace her power and twin nature.

Overall: 4/5

I love Raven and the dark fae Underworld brought to life in the first book. I can’t wait to see what happens next, clicks buy on Nevermore (Raven Crawford #2) now.
