A Dance with the Fae Prince (Married to Magic #2) by Elise Kova

Review:
Myth: 5/5
I loved this Cinderella retelling with a fae twist. Katria’s mental and emotional journey throughout the story were superb as she tries to unlearn her perceptions of herself based on childhood abuses. She also has to learn a whole new definition of love since the only ‘love’ she’s seen was a dysfunctional relationship between her dad and stepmom. There is a lot to unpack and Katria is ready to try and see herself and love through a new lens.
Magic: 4/5
I enjoyed the Fae lands and history within the “Married to Magic” world. There was a rich history and artistry shown off to counter the traditional bloodshed of the Fae.
Overall: 5/5
The Cinderella details both obvious and subtle, I leave those to the reader, but I really enjoyed that Katria was able to find her own ways and make her own decisions about her future. Katria was really a joy to root for, she’s got a lot to work through, but she’s up to the challenge and it’s a pleasure to see her find her happily ever after.
