Goodreads synopsis

Review:

Myth: 4/5

The rebellion has risen and is ready to take on the dragon king. With the help of House Xin, they might stand a chance. I definitely enjoyed Florence more in this book as she rises to the occasion. She also has to have a complicated think about what her relationship with Ari looks like now, as she’s becoming a force in her own right.

Cverah is nothing but strength in this book, which looks good on him, especially thinking back to his initial trip to Loom. He has House Xin to take care of after the disastrous events at the end of book 2. He also won’t give up on Ari, as a rebellion partner and more.

But with those Ari loves set for paths to lead their people, where does that leave the wraith who has lived her life in the shadows? Ari has to take down a king and figure out what her life might look like after she does.

Magic: 3.5/5

The magic of this book was really seeing the guilds working together to fight back. Working together in a way that they hadn’t since the last uprising meant that there were more tools of collaboration, each guild pushing the other to new heights.

I think Coletta made some magical strides in book 3, but she and Yveun are not on the same wavelength so a lot of her breakthroughs get passed over. Don’t worry, she still finds ways to make herself known.

Overall: 4/5

A fantastic conclusion to the Loom Saga. Ari taking care of everything that was needed to support those she loved, even though supporting their success likely meant losing them after the victory. Part of me wishes that Coletta got a little more time to shine, but that wouldn’t have been her character.
