Review:

Myth: 1/5

A few things jump out to me, primarily, Elkhana didn’t get to speak until like the last chapter, that didn’t sit well with me. I also couldn’t get past that even though there was some kind of dream/shared visions/prophetic connection between the two main characters, Vidar left her sitting in her cage for 80 years? I felt like Elkhana’s character was accessible and I could at least understand her, but Vidar was probably a little too fae for my taste.

Magic: 2/5

An interesting backstory for the Mayfly Seer and her role with her people. Her magic fueled the story through her interactions with Vidar.

Overall: 1/5

Though definitely stylistically different and unique than much of what I’ve read, I couldn’t get past some story elements and romantic lead interactions that seemed problematic to me.
